PALO ALTO, Calif. -- Netli, the first service provider to deliver a business-quality Internet, today announced NetliView and NetliContinuity. These new services, in conjunction with Netli's flagship offering NetLightning, enable global sub-second response times from a centralized data center, end-to-end visibility of Netli optimized applications and global traffic control. All three services are built on the Netli One platform, the company's global network infrastructure upon which Netli's suite of services for optimizing Web-enabled applications are built. Netli One overlays the Internet transforming it into business quality application infrastructure. "Web-enabled enterprises are moving more business processes to the Internet and extending their reach and functionality," states Mark Fabbi, vice president of enterprise communications at Gartner. "The need to deliver enterprise applications that are highly personalized, database-centric and bidirectional has exposed the application delivery shortcomings of the Internet, especially in large, global application environments. These shortcomings limit the potential benefits of Web-enabled applications. Fortunately, new application delivery solutions are enabling enterprises to fully capitalize on the promise of Web-enabled applications and centralize without compromising global application performance."

    Application Performance Monitoring with NetliView
NetliView, a comprehensive measurement and reporting service enables enterprises to continuously monitor the health of all of their business-critical, Netli optimized applications. NetliView is the result of an integration in the works with the Mercury Topaz platform, which is part of the Mercury Business

    Availability Center.
NetliView is delivered as a Web portal providing global, 24x7 access and integrated views to reflect the status of mission critical applications in real time. Key performance indicators such as application response time, availability and traffic patterns provide enhanced visibility into end-user experience. NetliView benefits include:

End-to-end visibility-delivering fast identification of performance issues Proactive monitoring-minimizes the business impact of performance problems by providing early warnings Speed time to resolution-correlates performance issues with their root cause, enabling IT groups to resolve problems efficiently

Global application traffic control with NetliContinuity NetliContinuity meets the requirements for fail over, backup or regulatory compliance for enterprises with two or more data centers. NetliContinuity provides the ability to shift traffic for Web applications across multiple sites transparently and rapidly. Regular condition reports from application availability checks can programmatically trigger the shift of all user traffic to another data center, based on a variety of business objectives, including disaster recovery or application continuity. The intelligent selection of available infrastructure provides global traffic control based on business policy and environmental conditions rather than on time of day or individual judgment. With the NetliContinuity service, enterprises can increase the efficiency and overall return on their complete IT investment by leveraging all computing resources. NetliContinuity benefits include:

Fault tolerance-maintains real time application availability status and provides fault tolerance by failing over to a secondary data center as necessary Policy based traffic redirection-global traffic control based on enterprise business policy, including real-time network and application performance data, geography and transaction integrity Flexible, agile infrastructure management for the Web-enabled data center-easily redirect global traffic for maintenance and management purposes

"Web-enabled enterprises face two directly conflicting design parameters: consolidate and avoid the cost of global data center deployments, but ensure that users around the world have an equivalently satisfactory experience," said Willie M. Tejada, vice president of marketing and business development for Netli. "In short, a company must deploy technologies and services that transform the Internet into high performance application delivery infrastructure. By leveraging the Netli One platform and the services that the company offers, enterprises can now deploy an application once and extend its reach worldwide, without the costs and management headaches associated with distributing infrastructure."
