Jewels of Heaven
and the Tinamaste Ridge
A Cloud Forest Sanctuary
The Jewels of Heaven is a cloud forest sanctuary stretching for several miles north of Diamante Reserve, along the Tinamaste Mountain Ridgeline. Forming half of the watershed for the diamante falls, this remote wooded land holds the intention for becoming a tranquil sound - healing center covered with wind chimes and avocado orchards.
At an elevation of 3,500 feet above sea level, the Tinamaste ridge is the has a micro-eco climate of its own. Clear, cool nights and mornings allow striking views of Mount Chiripo and the Pacific Ocean. And when the lower lands are heating up in the mid day, the Tinamaste Ridge enjoys constant cool temperatures under a thick cloud/fog blanket.
Tinamaste Land Conservation Trust
The entire watershed for the Diamante Falls and the Baru River System, stretching both north and south from the Diamante Sanctuary is now primarily first and second growth jungle and low impact pasture land. As development encroaches into this remote region, this precious watershed is threatened.
In an effort to conserve this land and protect the purity of these sacred waters, the Art of Union and our HOME in Costa Rica have created a conservation land trust and are seeking funding to purchase as much of this watershed as possible.
