NETLI RELEASES SUITE OF SSL ACCELERATION SERVICES Users worldwide of enterprise SSL Web applications can now experience local like response timesPalo Alto, California-November 17, 2003-Netli, the first company to offer a complete Application Delivery Network (ADN), announced today the addition of new acceleration solutions for applications and content secured with Secure Socket Layer (SSL) (HTTPS). NetLightning™ SSL now provides transport and application level optimization for SSL applications while maintaining end-to-end security. Netli partnered with cryptographic security leader nCipher to deliver breakthrough acceleration for SSL applications and provide FIPS 140-2 Level-3 validated security. Real end user measurements were conducted to measure the impact in performance for Microsoft Outlook Web Access transactions with and without the NetLightning SSL solutions. Multiple day tests from London and Singapore to a server in California showed up to 3x performance improvements with the NetLightning SSL service. London and Singapore experienced near local like performance with response times within ten percent of response times for local users. "As enterprises attempt to extend their Web applications to users in remote geographies they are increasingly looking to SSL to secure traffic, but poor application performance often results in lack of end user adoption of these business-critical applications.
